Letting Go

Throughout my life I’ve made mistakes
And some I carry to this day
It puts me at a disadvantage
Holding a debt that can’t be paid
The weight of every error made
The load is getting hard to manage

Chained to this baggage I’ve been dragging all my life – Don’t want to haul it anymore

I’ve wasted so much time
Worrying, and trying to find
Ways to change things that I can’t control
I’m just too tired to care
If it’s not my cross to bear
I’ll put it down, I’m letting go

I know some scars are gonna last 
And I can’t change what’s in the past 
But I don’t have to hold it all
If I can learn from last time
I’ll put this burden behind me
Just cut it loose and let it fall
